ARK is a non-profit organization designed to bring
success and achievement to young lives via color,
canvas and brush. ARK empowers at-risk kids to
discover their natural gifts. By helping kids to
value themselves, their chance to move into adulthood
as productive citizens is increased.
Started by local artists sensing an opportunity to
help at-risk kids, the ARK Initiative is now a
non-profit organization. Since beginning in 2006,
interest and volunteer support has ballooned. Once artist mentors, donors and volunteers saw the incredible results for themselves, more and more venues have opened their doors to ARK.
ARK is now in a stage of rapid growth, training
volunteer instructors and providing a tested program
to art institutions throughout the area.
